320 golfers converged on Fort Myers Beach Saturday, January 17th, for the 14th Annual Fort Myers Beach Putt & Pub.

Hosted by the Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club, 12 non-profit organizations on the island paired with 12 local restaurants to create a golf course second to none. Teams arrived in full costume and enjoyed a day of golf and good times. Beach visitors also joined in the fun to make the event our largest to date.

“A huge thank you to our sponsors this year who joined in giving back to our island non-profits,” stated Dawn Thomas. “Our non-profits and partnering restaurants created unique holes and fun game day prizes. Our raffle baskets supplied by each nonprofit contained some amazing gift packages this year.  

We raised over $70,000 and distributed over $55,000 to local nonprofits!
Including: FMB PTO, Friends of the Mound House, Community Foundation, Fort Myers Beach Art Association, Friends of the Library, FMB Chamber of Commerce, FMB Lions, FMB Strong, FOLKS, Beach Kids, and Sanibel School Seahorse Chorale.

The event ended at the Sunset Terrace at Margaritaville under sunny skies. Thomas added, “I also want to thank all the great golfers who came out to play and the volunteers who aided in another successful event!”
